Del Mar

Best known for it’s thoroughbred raceway and host to the San Diego County fair, Del Mar offers relaxed coastal living in San Diego’s North County. It’s history dates back to 1885 when Colonel Jacob Taylor purchased the land from a homesteader with a vision to build a seaside resort for the rich and famous. In 1933, Del Mar became the permanent home for the San Diego County Fair complete with the Del Mar Racetrack.

With a population of approximately 4,500, the laid back community also features fabulous beaches, unique shopping and fine dining. Del Mar plaza offers a variety of shops and restaurants while enjoying views of the ocean. The Del Mar beach offers over 2 miles of sandy paradise to relax, surf or picnic. If a relaxed yet refined beach community is where you want to be, Del Mar is the place for you.
